Panzón

Overview

If you're in the mood for a hearty meal in Brooklyn, Panzón is the place to be. Located at 23 Greenpoint Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11222, this charming diner brings a fresh, vibrant twist to the classic American menu with a dash of Latin flavor. The atmosphere inside is warm and inviting, with cozy seating and an open kitchen that lets you watch the magic unfold. From the moment you step in, it’s clear that this isn’t your average diner.

Panzón is known for its diverse menu that brings together traditional comfort food with bold, international influences. Whether you’re in the mood for a perfectly seared steak or something lighter like tacos or a fresh salad, this place has something to satisfy every craving. One standout dish is their “Panzón Burger,” a massive, juicy creation with a unique blend of spices and toppings that elevate it above the typical burger joint fare. It’s the kind of meal that makes you want to come back for more, and the portion sizes are perfect for those with a big appetite.

The diner’s menu features a variety of Latin-inspired dishes, but it also honors classic American favorites with a twist. From their signature tamales to flavorful empanadas and chimichurri-marinated grilled meats, the menu offers a variety of options that blend seamlessly with the local Brooklyn food scene. It's clear the chefs at Panzón put a lot of love into their cooking. The seasoning is on point, and the ingredients are fresh, which is always a good sign of a well-run kitchen.

I recently visited Panzón with a group of friends, and it was a fun, lively experience. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive, recommending the chef’s special of the day, a delightful grilled chicken dish with a smoky chipotle glaze. It was a hit with the group, and it’s definitely one of those dishes that makes you want to go back and try it again. There’s also a wide selection of drinks, including craft beers and cocktails that pair perfectly with their flavorful dishes.

One of the things that sets Panzón apart from other diners is its ability to blend traditional diner comfort food with modern culinary influences. This isn't your run-of-the-mill fast-food joint or greasy spoon. The care and attention to detail in the kitchen are apparent in each dish. For example, the breakfast menu offers a variety of options from classic pancakes to more inventive dishes like huevos rancheros, made with fresh ingredients that give the meal an extra zing.

If you're planning to visit, be sure to try the crispy papas bravas or the Latin-inspired quesadillas, both of which showcase the diner’s commitment to offering high-quality, satisfying dishes. And for dessert, don't miss out on their tres leches cake, a moist, creamy treat that has become a fan favorite.

Panzón’s location in Greenpoint makes it a convenient spot for locals and visitors alike. Greenpoint, known for its cool, laid-back vibe, pairs perfectly with the casual but vibrant energy of the diner. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you'll find a welcoming atmosphere and a menu full of exciting choices. It’s the kind of place where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy a meal with friends or family.

But what really makes Panzón stand out is the sense of community. The owners are often present, interacting with guests and making sure everyone is enjoying their meal. It’s clear they care about creating an experience that goes beyond just food, which is something that can be hard to find in the city. This personal touch is a big part of what keeps people coming back.

From its carefully crafted menu to its welcoming atmosphere, Panzón is a restaurant that checks all the boxes. Whether you're a local or just visiting Brooklyn, this diner offers a unique dining experience that combines comfort and creativity. If you haven't been yet, make sure to stop by the next time you’re in the area. You won’t regret it.

I had a great time eating here. The food is delicious and the staff is lovely, the waitress called Lily was very friendly. I got a started and a main for $47 and for the quality of the food it was great value. The tuna tostada were amazing and so were the beef tacos! I highly recommend.

Panzon is becoming a neighbourhood staple. Fantastic drinks, delicious food, great music and a gorgeous back patio. My favourite drink is the Panzon, a creamy avocado tequila drink and I always order the tuna tostada and the torta sandwich!

Threw a 15 person birthday dinner/engagement party here and it was AMAZING. Daya spent weeks planning the set menu with me, printed a special version, let me bring some flowers—and it went so well! Food was amazing, service was phenomenal, and drinks were delicious. It was such a happy memory I will cherish forever.

Loved it here! Stumbled in from out of town and it was the perfect spot for dinner and drinks to catch up w a friend! Cocktail selection was unique which I loved. I had a hard time choosing but the bartender suggested the signature tequila avocado drink and I was so pleasantly surprised! For dinner we got the civiche starter and birria tacos… so good. I want to come back in the summer when the back patio is open! Menu is also labeled gf and vegetarian so it fit my dietary restrictions (gf and dairy free)

We stumbled in here on a rainy Saturday when we wanted to try somewhere new and we were not disappointed! The bartender and the hostess/server were friendly and the food was incredible. We got the potato flautas and I was amazed how much flavor they packed into the fried potato goodness! Their salsa verde is spicy in the nicest way and the burrito was delicately rich. Along with the food we tried a few of the cocktails. The espresso martini was slightly too floral for me but the gin martini and the panzon margarita were so bright and refreshing I can’t wait to have them again! They also have blackbird iykyk;)

I went there with my husband and daughter for a quick bite. Loved the food and the presentation. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our hostess Neha was very pleasant. We will definitely go back for dinner soon.

Me and my family of 5 went because my dad is friends with the chef and the food was so so delicious. It can get noisy but that’s the only complaint. The picture frames in the bathroom are a mood. I ordered birria tacos.
